Summary

The International Science Reserve (ISR) has launched The Disaster Response Game, a digital simulation designed to help scientists practice crisis decision-making in scenarios like pandemics, wildfires, and food insecurity. Based on ISR research, the game promotes preparedness by challenging players to assess resources, navigate tough choices, and collaborate under pressure. It’s part of a suite of free games, including The Pathogen Outbreak Game, aimed at building crisis response skills. With nearly 20,000 scientists in its network, ISR uses gamification to make training more engaging, fostering a culture of readiness in the face of growing global risks and environmental crises.
