Abstract
“With the development of digital technology, reading has gradually been excluded from children's leisure and entertainment. As an important institution for promoting children's reading, libraries need to attract children's readers and meet their needs through innovative services. This study has designed a children's mobile application for the library that combines gamification elements in which children can accumulate points and collect badges by completing the reading. This research has used gamification mechanisms to arouse children's curiosity, generate their reading motivation and take the mobile application as a tool for self-learning.”
