Summary
Twice a month, students from St. Joseph Catholic School in Big Bend visit Regency Senior Community in Muskego to play board games with residents, building meaningful intergenerational relationships. What began as a simple activity has grown into lasting connections that benefit both students and seniors. Children teach games like Uno, Rack-O, cribbage, and Sorry, while learning patience and empathy. Students cherish the friendships they form, and seniors eagerly anticipate their visits. The interactions bring joy to residents, helping them feel youthful and valued. For many seniors, spending time with the children provides companionship, happiness, and a refreshing connection to younger generations.
