Summary

The University of Cádiz has launched its first University Teaching Games Library to promote active, game-based methodologies in teacher education. Led by Professor Marina Camino Carrasco, the project provides faculty and trainee teachers with educational games that support innovative, experiential learning. More than 40 games have been donated by collaborating publishers, along with two serious games developed by the HUM-509 Phoenix Mediterranea research group. Its interdisciplinary team—spanning Education, Medicine, and Arts and Humanities—strengthens the project’s impact and research value. The initiative is expected to expand in future years, adding new lines of work and involving additional university centres.
