Summary

Black Tampa Historians is a new 70-card educational game created by former teacher Ashley Morrow to highlight Tampa's Black history. After three years of research, Morrow designed the game to spark meaningful, intergenerational conversations through fun, multiple-choice questions. The game features inspiring stories, such as Madame Fortune Taylor's contributions to Tampa’s citrus and cigar industries. Morrow’s teaching background helped her simplify complex history for all ages. By blending entertainment with education, the game encourages families to explore local history, honor community leaders, and deepen their connection to Tampa’s rich Black heritage in an engaging, accessible way.
