Abstract
"This thesis aims to improve how tabletop exercises are conducted. Most current tabletop exercises rely on classical means such as pen and paper or standard software tools, which are not explicitly designed for this purpose . This limits the scenarios that can be created within these exercises. Creating a tabletop exercise is a lengthy process, and the carrying out of the exercise requires a lot of personnel. We review common traits in exercises that are often conducted and focus on elements of exercises that may be improved. Based on this information, a set of functional requirements was derived, and a solution that provides such functionality was proposed. As a practical result of this thesis, we developed a proof-of-concept web application named TTXperience that can support tabletop exercises. This application was then used to deliver a real tabletop exercise, which was a mandatory part of a cybersecurity course at Masaryk University.”
