Summary
During Christmas break, a mother agrees to play Monopoly with her family, despite knowing the game brings out her worst qualities. Though she hides her competitiveness in daily life, Monopoly—especially its money element—unleashes her ego and transforms her into a ruthless player. She snaps at her children, insults her husband, and justifies cutthroat behavior as “capitalism,” even as one child cries over losing. Aware she is both a sore winner and a sore loser, she ultimately agrees to stop playing before things worsen. Though regretful about exposing her dark side, she humorously admits she cannot wait to play again.
