Summary
The Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sofia University held workshops in September and October to showcase the Media Masters educational game. More than 110 students and pupils tested the board game and its mobile app, culminating in a major workshop on recognizing fake news through realistic media scenarios. Dean Vesselina Valkanova emphasized media literacy as an essential modern skill. The events launched the second series of public presentations, following updates to the game since its initial April 2025 release. Participants also discussed media’s role in democracy. Media Masters, funded by the CERV programme, aims to foster critical thinking across Europe.
