The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has launched Aivilization, the world’s largest AI multi-agent social simulation platform, featuring 100,000 AI agents interacting in a dynamic, MMO-like environment. This six-week experiment explores how humans influence AI societies, enabling the emergence of economies, cultures, and governance systems. Players guide AI agents through MBTI-based interactions, shaping their lives and receiving personalized reports. With drastically reduced costs and scalable public participation, Aivilization aims to bridge the AI literacy gap through immersive gameplay.
