Learning through experience is one of our most powerful motivators. Hands-on experiences, high impacts practices, and games are all forms of experiential learning. This learning through experience is the core of the University XP process.
Experience as Process
We promote and experience learning as a process. One that begins with an impactful experience, promotes meaning making, and ends with applying lessons through experimentation. The experiential learning cycle is an intuitive one for learners, but we exercise rigorous structure when implementing it in practice.
Active Reflection
Reflection is the cornerstone of the experiential process. Meaning is created for learners through both individual and group reflection. This formation of understanding used in concert with solid instructional design principles, high impact practices, and games-based learning lead to unforgettable experiences.
