Summary
UNESCO Bangkok, in partnership with the Bangkok Children’s Discovery Museum and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, launched a permanent interactive exhibition promoting ocean literacy and sustainable marine practices. Introduced on Thailand’s National Children’s Day, the initiative is part of UNESCO’s “Sustaining Our Oceans” project, supported by Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. Using augmented and virtual reality tools, the exhibition enables children and families to explore marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and human–ocean connections. Building on conservation efforts in the Ranong Biosphere Reserve and Andaman Sea, the project highlights education’s role in fostering environmental stewardship and empowering youth to become advocates for ocean sustainability.
